Coaching available for applicants of the PGCE Modern Foreign Languages

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching MFL teachers who were keen to expand their professional toolbox and explore creative ways to make French more engaging and accessible, both online and in the classroom.

More recently, I’ve also supported mature students applying for a PGCE, helping them prepare for the interview process from start to finish — from crafting a strong motivation letter to feeling confident on interview day itself. These sessions have focused on key areas such as understanding the foundations of pedagogy, what makes an effective facilitator and teacher, and how to plan and deliver a lesson. As part of the interview process, candidates are typically required to demonstrate their teaching skills through a short mini-lesson, usually lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the institution.

Below, Sarah-Gwen has kindly agreed to share her experience of working with me, so you can learn a little more about the process and its impact. (video coming soon!!
